MILITARIA is an oc-focused musebox set at a military academy in space. humanity has perfected space travel and discovered they are not alone in the universe and that life among the stars is not exactly peaceful. the academy is the place where future officers are trained, scientists work around the clock to make better weapons and ships, (former) grunts go to get the education the military promised them, and academia is really just an excuse to win the arm's race. combat training is mandatory for all tracks, but students can choose between command, communications, weapons, and various other tracks.

the academy is situated a few star systems away from earth on a space station in an otherwise uninhabitable system; the trip to earth takes two days with one of the newer ships, and three with one of the older.
